Never transfer funds beforehand: Do not pay inspection fees or deposits to any bank account before physically visiting the listing site.
Look for the Verified badge: Choose properties listed by verified agents or developers with NIN-complete status.
Verify titles at the Registry: Prior to outright land purchase, ensure title searches are conducted independently at the State Land Registry (e.g. Alausa for Lagos listings).
